Dermabrasion

Aging, exposure to the elements, and heredity can cause skin to lose its luster. Skin scarred by acne or accidents can diminish self-confidence. Dermabrasion can produce a new smoothness to skin, for a youthful, attractive appearance.

During dermabrasion, an oscillating diamond burr delicately removes the top layers of skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and scars. Immediately following the procedure, the skin is expected to be red and swollen, but after a short healing period skin will look clear and healthy.

Microdermabrasion

One of the most popular and effective skin resurfacing techniques today is microdermabrasion. The procedure is virtually painless and has no side effects. During microdermabrasion, sand-like crystals are applied to the skin to remove toxins, impurities, and blemishes to reveal the fresh, healthy skin just below the surface. Retin-A® Treatments

For more than 20 years, physicians have been using Retin-A® for the successful treatment of acne. Retin-A® is used in the form of a cream, which is massaged into the face once each day for 8–12 months. Frequency of application fluctuates depending on the severity of skin damage and the skin’s reaction to the treatment. Because of expected dryness, moisturizing lotion is generally used along with Retin-A®. Through continued use, patients notice improvements in the tone and texture of their skin.
