Xeomin® Treatments
Xeomin® is an innovative injectable solution that can effectively minimize symptoms of aging on the face. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport®, this treatment is composed of a highly diluted form of botulinum toxin type A. The solution is designed to temporarily prevent facial muscles in the target areas from contracting, which ultimately works to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines while helping delay the development of future wrinkling. Who Is a Good Candidate for Xeomin®?
Candidates for Xeomin® can be anyone who would like to minimize the appearance of mild to moderate wrinkles and fine lines in the face, including those who exhibit the following aging concerns:
- Crow’s feet
- Forehead creases
- Frown lines between the eyebrows (Glabellar lines)
How Is Xeomin® Administered?
During the procedure, a small amount of the Xeomin® solution will be carefully injected with a tiny needle directly into the areas targeted for treatment. The entire procedure generally takes just a few minutes, and most individuals are able to resume normal daily activities without any downtime. It is normal to have mild redness and minimal swelling around the treatment areas, but this should quickly resolve.
Initial effects should be visible within the first week, and full results should develop over the course of the next week. Most patients enjoy benefits of Xeomin® for up to three months, and the effects can be maintained thereafter with follow-up treatment.
